After the pandemic world has come closer with help of internet and online technologies. As employees have started working at home, many companies' productivity has also increased. This has led to a 17% increase in hiring ratio in the IT industry.

Hiring for the IT industry has increased as per demand in technology service worldwide. Training fresher’s is a cost effective solution compared to hiring experienced. It’s projected that top four IT companies Infosys, TCS, Wipro and HCL  are going to hire 1.5Lakhs fresher’s in the upcoming financial year. 

Another reason for this increase in the economy for this industry is the increased demand for software and social media platforms such as Google Hangouts, WhatsApp Video call, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. All these online tools have helped people stay in touch with family and work at the same time. This helped people to understand the internet and technology as it helped us stay safe.

As the demand for digital talent rose, the industry faced the challenge of fulfilling the demand-supply gap. To meet this demand the company expanded hiring programs.Companies are losing projects so instead of letting go the customers they are hiring freshers.

Now hiring experienced employees is a bit costly as they are demanding three to four times more than freshers, also there is no guarantee of joining. Also experienced candidates can be volatile and unpredictable.

As per sources there is an increase in hiring of freshers gradually every year. In FY20 this ration got down due to pandemic. But when things started to grow better there was an increase in projects in the IT industry and hence more hiring of freshers.
